Sunrise at Playa Cocles

An early morning drive brought us out to Playa Cocles (4:45 AM), right by the rivermouth (5:00 AM), just as the sun began to break over the horizon. The light reflecting off the water and the empty beach made the early wake-up completely worth it.

We also brought the drone along this time and captured some incredible aerial views of the coastline and the river meeting the sea. It is amazing how different the Caribbean looks from up above when the morning light hits just right.
